Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I guess if people get really fat, they could cut down on their heating bills too, right?

Probably a joke. Or an experiment just for fun. The problem with any energy source is that there has to be enough of it and it has to be produced easily enough to actually be economical as compared with fossil fuels, solar, wind, nuclear, etc. Body fat is not. Requires food to be grown, then harvested, then processed, then eaten, most if which is shit out, then turns into fat, then removed, then reprocessed, then burned. In all there is significantly less energy in body fat than went into the process of producing it. Hence, not economical and a waste of time as far as a legitimate alternative energy source is concerned.

using the fat of how many people? again, if it's the fat of a tri-state area, then it's still next to worthless. and even if it is a small enough area, how long does the energy source last? to build an infrastructure of millions of dollars and then have your fuel run out in a matter of six months is, again, a silly investment.

Its "liposuction". Seriously, that's kind of indecorous. We still have more decent alternate ways which no one cares about.

Interesting enough, but the point was at every step, large amounts of energy must be expended, and the gain in energy is highly unlikely to outweigh the loss in energy used in production of 'body fat'
